40??

In three days I turn 40. FORTY! Ancient!

Looking back at the past decade, I can honestly say it's been one of the best, albeit most interesting, ones in my life. A lot of crap has happened along the way, but all in all, a good few years.

I shall celebrate by having friends over for food and booze. Not a 'party' per se, but just people coming over in a nice casual way.

Let me see - how did my OTHER decade years get celebrated:

30 - Most likely stinking drunk. In fact, pretty certainly stinking drunk. I can't remember. I know I was spending most of my waking hours at Dynes Rd with the Slovak and the boys and spending all my money on beer and smokes. I'd also just won the lottery and was being particularly stupid.

Grade: Fail

20 - was living in White Lake in a non-winterized cabin and still doing high school. Working at McCraps for pittance. Dating farmer-boy and like all 20-year olds doing a lot of foolish things (usually involving the back seat of a car). Was a few months away from my world falling apart and was blissfully unaware.

Grade: EPIC Fail

10 - Lived in England and was taken for a day trip to London by my favourite Auntie. Just me and her. It was great.

Grade: Great
